A strong answer rejects the premise that credibility tagging is a query-latency cost. If tagging is performed at ingestion time, it is already off the query-latency critical path. Cutting it provides no performance benefit while reintroducing a regression that was previously fixed. Instead, the focus should be on optimizing embedding, ANN search, reranking, or generation to meet the 30% latency reduction goal.
