Staleness is acceptable for content where themes change slowly, but it becomes a problem if leaf updates contradict existing summary nodes. Rather than a blind weekly rebuild or leaving the tree stale, you can diff new leaf embeddings against existing clusters. This allows you to selectively rebuild only the clusters affected by the new data, balancing compute efficiency with information accuracy.
